What keeps you from being present?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 19, 2009:
My wandering monkey mind is always active and very often effective in keeping me from being fully present in the here and now. When my mind wanders, I then forget to breathe, and all else seems to cease in it's beautifuly divine flow after that point.
